Refund a voucher

You can refund voucher funds back to the customer or revoke a voucher.

Refunding a voucher

You can refund vouchers within the Access Soda admin and the customer will receive the full amount paid back to them in three to six working days after you have issued the refund.

Once you've refunded the voucher, we will issue an invoice to reclaim the voucher funds.

Follow the steps below to successfully refund a voucher:

  1. Log in to Access Soda, then click Look Up Vouchers at the bottom left hand side of the page.

  2. Search for the voucher you want to refund by entering one of the below in the search box:

    • Voucher code such as VR-CXNC73C9NYF3ONE.

    • Purchase reference such as VR-1000793416.

    • Recipient name.

    • Purchaser email.

    • Purchaser name.

  3. Click into the transaction.

    • If the voucher has not yet been redeemed, it will be highlighted in orange on the left-hand side. Redeemed vouchers are highlighted in purple. To refund a voucher that has already been redeemed, you will first need to click Reinstate.

  4. Click Refund. The customer will then automatically receive an email confirming the refund.


Revoke a voucher

You can revoke a voucher that hasn't been redeemed. Once you have revoked the voucher, it will no longer be redeemable and a refund will not be available for the customer.

You can apply Revoke a voucher to all types of voucher transactions, including Purchased Online, issued for Free, issued as an Offline Purchase, or issued in exchange for a Ticket/Booking purchase.

📌 Note: If a customer has purchased multiple vouchers within a single transaction, you'll only have the option to revoke all the vouchers. It is not possible to revoke a single voucher out of a group purchase.

Follow the steps below to revoke a voucher:

  1. Log into Access Soda, then click Look Up Vouchers at the bottom left hand side of the page.

  2. Search for the voucher you want to revoke by entering one of the below in the search box:

    • Voucher code such as VR-CXNC73C9NYF3ONE.

    • Purchase reference such as example: VR-1000793416.

    • Recipient name.

    • Purchaser email.

    • Purchaser name.

  3. Click into the transaction. If the voucher hasn't yet been redeemed it will be highlighted orange on the left hand side. Vouchers which have already been redeemed are highlighted purple and cannot be revoked.

  4. Click Revoke.
